In the spring of 1999, Target Community & Educational Services agreed to provide drop-in services to a single client. Two years later, in 2001, the number of consumers receiving drop-in services had grown to 19. Currently, Target provides services to 40+ clients.
Officially referred to as Community Supported Living Arrangement (CSLA), Individual Support Services (ISS), or Family and Individual Support Services (FISS), Target's drop-in services offer individuals living on their own or with their families the support they need to lead productive lives within the community. Services may include as few as five or as many as eighty hours per week and vary based on the individual needs of each client.
In Carroll and Montgomery Counties, drop in services are headed by Jessie Greenholt-Gurkoff, Director of CSLA Support Services. For more information, please contact her by email or call 240-632-1434.
